Phase equilibrium in lanthanide halide systems: Assessment of CeBr3 and MBr-CeBr3 systems (M=Li,Na,K,Rb,Cs )

► Rare earth halides and their mixtures with alkali metal halides have many industrial applications. ► This work makes thermodynamic calculations on CeBr3 and MBr-CeBr3 systems. ► A good agreement between the experimental data and the calculation is obtained. ► The obtained parameters can be extrapolated to the multi-component systems.
