Modeling and simulation of galvanic corrosion pit as a moving boundary problem
چکیده انگلیسی
► Galvanic currents in a 180° cathode-anode junction is studied with the assumption of linear polarization curve instead of exponential Tafel curves. ► The ionic conduction in the electrolyte surrounding the galvanic junction is modeled by a simple Laplace equation for potential distribution. ► The galvanic pit created on the anode is simulated as a moving boundary problem. ► The galvanic pit is mainly concentrated near the junction. ► The depth of the galvanic pit is found to increase linearly with time.
