Correlation between grain boundary misorientation and M23C6 precipitation behaviors in a wrought Ni-based superalloy

► The low angle grain boundaries and CSL boundaries are immune to precipitation. ► M23C6 precipitate preferentially at random grain boundaries within 20°-40°. ► Some certain random grain boundary segments interrupt M23C6 precipitation.
