The effect of the precipitates type on the thermal fatigue properties of 18% Cr ferritic stainless steel weld HAZ

► Solid solution Nb decreased at initial cycles due to the precipitation. ► Fatigue life decreased due to coarsened laves phase and M6C during thermal cycling. ► Fatigue crack initiate from the interface of coarsened laves phase and matrix.
