Evaluation of electroslag remelting in TiC particle reinforced 304 stainless steel

► In situ fine TiC particles reinforced 304 stainless steel with excellent performance was prepared by electro-slag remelting (ESR). ► Applying the ESR process eliminated the TiC particles aggregation and refined the TiC particles with a more uniform distribution. ► Nano-scale TiC particles are helpful to improve the creep properties of TiC particles reinforced 304 stainless steel.
