Constitutive modeling of hot deformation behavior of H62 brass

► We studied the high temperature flow behavior of H62 brass over a wide range of temperature and strain rate. ► H62 brass exhibits typical DRX behaviors and β → α phase transformation. ► The effects of strain rate and temperature on hot deformation behavior could be represented by Zener-Hollomon parameter. ► The constitutive equation was developed after calculating the constants as functions of strain. ► The developed constitutive equation was reliable and almost all the errors are under 4.56%.
