Thermal stability of in situ synthesized (TiBÂ +Â La2O3)/Ti composite

► The material is in situ synthesized (TiB + La2O3)/Ti composite. ► The TRIPLEX heat treatment is adopted. ► The thermal stability of titanium matrix composites is investigated. ► The decrease of thermal stability is attributed to the precipitation of Ti3Al and silicides. ► The reinforcements can improve thermal stability of titanium matrix composites.
