Fatigue crack initiation in hybrid boron/glass/aluminum fiber metal laminates

An analytical approach was proposed to calculate the fatigue crack initiation lives of hybrid boron/glass/aluminum FMLs based on the classical laminate theory and the small-crack theory. A good correlation was obtained between the predictions and the experimental results.
