Electrical relaxation and conductivity properties of xSrBi2Nb2O9–(1 − x)Li2B4O7 (SBN–LBO, x = 0.05, 0.15, 0.25, 0.35) mixture glasses were investigated. The variation in the dielectric constant with temperature agreed well with the results obtained from the differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements. Thermal cycling was carried out to determine the dependence of the dielectric relaxation on the annealing history. The impedance Cole–Cole plot was used to analyze the dielectric measurements. It was found that the bulk resistance and mean relaxation time increased with increasing thermal cycle due to the relaxation of the glass network. A drastic decrease on the dc conductivity with increasing SBN mole ratio indicates that LBO elements mainly contribute to the conduction of this mixed glass system.
