Optical properties of acceptor-exciton complexes in ZnO/SiO2 quantum dots

► There are more experimental works than theoretical works about ZnO quantum dots. ► Numerical calculations have been performed to calculate the optical properties of the (A−,X) complex. ► We found a strong tunability of optical properties of ZnO QDs with impurities.
