Metal enhanced photoluminescence of near-infrared CdTexSe1−x quantum dots

► We developed a modified organometallic method for synthesis of high-quality alloyed near-infrared CdTexSe1−x quantum dots. ► Worm-like Au nanoparticles film was prepared. ► The alloyed quantum dots coupled with Au nanoparticles exhibited significant photoluminescence enhancement.
