Erasing information and purity of a quantum dot via its spontaneous decay

► Analytical solution of a master equation of a quantum dot-field system is found. ► The information loss, the purity and the relaxation process are investigated. ► The spontaneous decay leads to the loss of information and the purity. ► Indicator for the relaxation process is suggested by using Wehrl entropy.
