A study of the mixing of solids in gas-fluidized beds, using ultra-fast MRI

Magnetic resonance imaging has been used to measure the rate of axial mixing in a vertical direction of a small batch of poppy seeds suddenly added to the upper surface of a bed of sugar crystals fluidized by air.
