Magnetic and thermal properties of Tm5Ni2In4

• Tm5Ni2In4 is an antiferromagnet with the Néel temperature of 4.2 K.
• Dc and ac magnetic susceptibility is discussed.
• Magnetic specific heat and magnetic entropy is analyzed.

In this work we report the results of magnetic (dc and ac) and calorimetric measurements of the Tm5Ni2In4 compound which crystallizes in the orthorhombic Lu5Ni2In4-type crystal structure. The experimental data indicate antiferromagnetic properties below TN = 4.2 K.
