EMO Milano 2015 breaks records

Unfortunately for those of us (not just myself) who are interested in both powder metallurgy and such advanced manufacturing techniques as machining, die manufacture and additive manufacturing, the EPMA has more than once chosen for its main event the same week as CECIMO, the European Association of Machine Tool Industries, has selected for its own. Thus, after attending EPMA's fact-filled Reims Conference, I found myself rushing to Milan to spend the remaining days of that week at EMO (the World Machine Tool Exposition). Dedicated to manufacturing technology, systems, robots, automation and additive manufacturing, I and a few others from Reims rather belatedly joined the 150,000-plus EMO attendees at Milan's impressive fairgrounds. The following is a summary of my own impressions.
