SnO2 nanowires mixed nanodendrites for high ethanol sensor response

► We synthesize SnO2 nanowires mixed nanodendrites using carbothermal reduction. ► Formation of nanodendrites is explained based on oxygen content. ► Presence of nanodendtrites increases surface to volume ratio of nanowires. ► Increase of surface to volume ratio improves sensor response.
