Extraction of Jiles and Atherton parameters of ferrite from initial magnetization curves

A new algorithm for the computation of Jiles and Atherton parameters of soft ferrite to simulate it with the model, implemented in commercial versions of SPICE, is presented. The main idea of the algorithm is to use a few data easily obtainable from magnetic material data sheets. The algorithm does not demand excessive computations, so it can be implemented even with a simple spreadsheet. The algorithm is illustrated by a numerical examples dealing with commercially available ferrites.
