Dependence of the electron energy gain on the field polarization of Hermite–Gaussian beam
چکیده انگلیسی

The interaction of charged particles with a Hermite–Gaussian laser beam is numerically and analytically investigated for linear and circular polarizations. The electron final energy is obtained as a function of the laser parameter (polarization, waist and intensity) and the electron parameter (initial injection energy and initial coordinate, (z0)(z0)). The energy gain increases with increase in laser beam waist and laser intensity. For relativistic electrons and laser intensities I0∼1020–1021W/cm2 an increase in electron energy Δɛ∼(10–20)GeV can be attained.
