Comparison of the bootstrap method with another method for the analysis of discrepant data sets

In this paper, we analyze three discrepant data sets using a statistical procedure based on the median. The data analyzed correspond to the ω(782) full-width, and the KS0 and the neutron lifetimes. The results are compared with those obtained from another procedure.
