Thermal noise engines

► Electrical heat engines driven by the Johnson-Nyquist noise of resistors are introduced. ► Regular and coherent (correlated states) versions of these engines are shown. ► They can operate in either four-stroke or two-stroke modes. ► The second law is not violated. ► In the idealistic case, all these engines have Carnot efficiency.
