Stability of a self-gravitating homogeneous resistive plasma

► We study the gravitational stability of a homogeneous resistive magnetized plasma. ► The critical scale for collapse depends on direction. ► The magnetic pressure contrasts the gravitational force orthogonally to the B-field. ► However a high resistivity cancels the stabilizing effect of magnetic pressure.
