AimTo study the chemical constituents of Astragalus ernestii.MethodsCompounds 1–10 were isolated and purified by silica gel and Rp-18 column chromatography. Their structures were elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods.ResultsTen known compounds, 3-O-β-D-xylopyraosyl-24S-cycloart-3β, 6α, 16β, 24, 25-pentaol-25-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), isoastragaloside IV (2), cyclocanthoside A (3), asernestioside C (4), 6,3'-dihydroxy-2',4'-dimethoxyisoflavan-6-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucoside (6), 7,3'-dihydroxyl-6,4'-dimethoxyisoflavon-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (7), β-sitosterol (8), β-daucosterol (9), and sphondin (10), were isolated and structurally elucidated.ConclusionCompounds 1–3, 5–7 and 10 were isolated from this plant for the first time.
