The regular management conditions of the samples, 8 hours at room temperature with or without previous centrifugation and later storage at 4° C for a week does not jeopardize the stability of cortisol and 25 OH-vit D. In the case of ACTH the samples have to be frozen after they are obtained if they are not going to be processed in less than 8 hours.
