Storage of samples in aliquoted serum or in primary tubes with gel separator at 4 °C is suitable for IGF-1 and androstenedione for up to 10 days. Gastrin was stable up to 8 h in aliquoted serum and up to 48 h in a primary tube with gel separator. Gel separator tubes seem to be suitable for routine storage for the three determinations.
