La personne de confiance

The French law of March 2002 allows the hospitalised patient to designate a trusted person who can support, help and represent him throughout his disease's curse. This role has been strengthened by the law of April 2005. This article aims to explain the mission of the trusted person and discuss the limitations of such designation.
