Cervical Cancer: Who's At Risk?

Cervical cancer is not just a women's health issue, but a public health issue of which we all need to be aware. It can be prevented through primary and secondary prevention strategies, and it can be effectively treated when caught early. This article discusses risk factors for cervical cancer using the BEINGS epidemiologic model, and discusses the important role nurses can play in helping patients understand their individual risk factors and how to modify them.
