Positive Changes, Positive Outcomes: The DNV/ISO/NPPM Connection

Early in October 2008, a small item in one of many healthcare email alerts we receive announced a new healthcare accreditation entity. It referenced a September 26, 2008, decision by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) to approve Det Norske Veritas Healthcare, Inc. (DNV)1 as a national accreditation program for hospitals seeking to participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
