Sandra K. Janzen, MS, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN

Sandra K. Janzen, MS, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN, is the director of clinical executive consultation and development at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veteran Integrated Service Network 8 (Florida and Puerto Rico), and the national VA Office of Nursing Service. Sandy assumed this new dual role after 23 years as chief nursing officer at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital and Clinics in Tampa, Florida. At the VA network level, her responsibilities include developing a Magnet recognition plan for all network medical centers and clinics, and mentoring new nurse executives and emerging leaders.
