The technological development resulted in advance of neonatal intensive care. The present-day units are full of essential and sophisticated medical equipment (like incubators, respirators, monitors). It is worth to study the step-by-step evolution of neonatal intensive care and to know these concepts which are the foundations of this branch of medicine as well as those which were completely missed.
