Nursing the hybrid wave

This article briefly describes the development of an Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) hybrid program in the community college setting. Discussion follows for integrating the hybrid learner into the ADN program and solving some distance-learning concerns. Best practices for faculty, administration, and students are presented with discussion of the need to increase the pool of RNs by providing nontraditional learning alternatives for motivated learners. This model has enjoyed success in this community college and should be adaptable to other community college environments.
