Disturbed electrogastrographic functions in protein energy malnutrition patients

PEM patients show EGG changes predominantly bradygastria which is affected by the severity of the condition and is reversible upon nutritional rehabilitation. The disturbed gastrin levels in PEM could be considered among the responsible factors.
