Dynamic Splinting for the Repair of the First Extensor Compartment Tendons

As a hand therapist, we don't really treat a lacerated tendon. The physician is the one that handles the repair. We actually are treating all the secondary problems that occur as a result of the injury and the repair. To quote Ken Flowers (JHT past editor), “ Scar Wars” can end up being one of our biggest challenges. This author has demonstrated how adhesions can affect motion after a repair of tendons in the first extensor compartment.
