Spécificité des capacités visuo-attentionnelles et lecture chez l'enfant

In this review article we focus on oculomotor and visuo-attentional processes involved in reading. We examine the importance of these processes for learning to read, and how they can improve our understanding of the difficulties encountered by certain dyslexic children during reading acquisition. We suggest that appropriate measures of oculomotor and visuo-attentional capacities should be used for the early screening of children in the first years of formal education, and that these abilities should be the focus of specific remediation programs with an aim to facilitate the process of learning to read.
