The pictorial art likes to be imaged of visually impaired persons. Humble, miracles or biblical characters, the iconography is full of examples of suffering from blindness characters. From the Middle Ages to the present, the visual disability has been represented in original compositions, particularly in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
