Aetiology and outcome of paediatric cardiopulmonary arrest

Cardiopulmonary arrest occurs less commonly in children than in adults, differs in its aetiology and has better outcomes. This article focuses on the causes of cardiac arrest in children, including events occurring under anaesthesia, outcomes and some new developments in management and prevention.
