Hypotensive anesthesia with propofol and remifentanil: protective effect of alpha-tocopherol on renal function

In patients without any renal disease, hypotensive anesthesia with propofol and remifentanil results in a transient tubular dysfunction, which appears to be minimized by the preoperative administration of α-tocopherol.
