The effect of cold-acclimation on energy strategies of Apodemus draco in Hengduan Mountain region

► Body mass, energy intake and digestive tract were measured during cold exposure. ► Results showed that the body mass and body temperature have reduced. ► Digestive tract in A. draco had significant variations in response to cold exposure. ► Temperature was a cue to trigger the adjustments in energy intake and digestive tract.
