Thromboembolic Events Before Esophagectomy for Esophageal Cancer Do Not Result in Worse Outcomes

Thromboembolic events in the preoperative period delay the time to surgery for patients with esophageal cancer. Despite this delay, there is no demonstrable effect on postoperative complications or mortality.
