Prognostic Variables in Thoracic Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Dissection of more than 20 lymph nodes is mandatory in TESCC patients to achieve accurate staging. Positive lymph node metastasis of 4 or higher is a significant independent prognostic factor.
