Electronic Medical Records - A surgical gastroenterology center's preliminary experience

Although different versions of the EMRs are being used in some hospitals in India, there is no data available regarding its usefulness. We are currently using an EMR system, Raxa (raxa.io) and once it is adapted to our needs we are confident that it will provide a major impetus to the quality of medical care in India as well as to clinical research. In our limited experience we not only found it to be useful in getting incare patient information but also retrieving the data of discharged patients.
