Unrecognized glucose intolerance is common in pulmonary arterial hypertension

Unrecognized glucose intolerance as assessed by HbA1c is common in PAH. Further studies are needed to discern if glucose or insulin dysregulation mediates PAH pathogenesis or is secondary to advanced PAH.
