A percutaneous aortic device for cerebral embolic protection during cardiovascular intervention

Embolic stroke plagues cardiovascular interventions involving manipulation of the heart and proximal aorta. An embolic protection device for use during these interventions which can be percutaneously placed is desirable in order to reduce the cerebrovascular risk of these interventions.
