Microdeletions in the Y chromosome in cases of male infertility in a population of West Bengal

In majority of patients PCR detects no abnormality but in cases having microdeletions, appropriate advice could be given to the patients. These patients were told to avoid the use of their sperm in assisted reproduction procedures and accept the use of donor sperm or adoption procedures as a solution to their problems of infertility.
