The dearth of deceased donors, acceptance of living-related donors, better operative skills, and post transplant outcomes have played an important role is making LT accessable to more and more needy people. However, for best outcome it is important to stick to the established criteria laid down for listing a patient for LT for both best outcomes and better distribution of donor livers.
