Intercondylar humerus fractures: current concepts and controversies

Intrercondylar distal humerus fractures are uncommon injuries with less than satisfactory result in a large number of cases despite numerous advancements in surgical techniques. Anatomical and stable internal fixation with early postoperative mobilization is expected to improve the functional outcomes. The present discussion is an attempt to understand the current standards of care in surgical management of this complex injury.
