La véritable inertie clinique: une attitude toujours critiquable

Clinical inertia is defined as the absence of implementation or intensification of a treatment even though the situation of the patient justifies it according to the current guidelines. In fact, it is often the case that such a lack of modification is justified and considered “appropriate inaction” as the outcome of a well-thought-out decision by the doctor. But this is not always the case. The aim of the present report is to clarify the definition of the “strict” clinical inertia that amouts to medical error.
