TRÂNSITO GASTROINTESTINAL DE Rattus norvegicus (Berkenhout, 1769) (Rodentia:Muridae) APÓS ADMINISTRAÇÃO DE TEGASERODE

ResumoQuarenta ratos wistar foram divididos em 2 grupos e submetidos à administração de solução salina e tegaserode por gavagem, na dose de 1,0 ml por animal, durante 15 dias, no laboratório de fisiologia da Universidade Federal de Juiz de Fora (MG). Trinta e quatro animais, 17 de cada grupo, chegaram ao final do experimento. A dose do tegaserode foi de 0,09 mg/kg de peso. O objetivo do estudo foi observar o efeito do tegaserode sobre a velocidade do trânsito gastrointestinal de ratos Wistar. Para avaliar a velocidade de trânsito foi utilizada leitura cintilográfica do tubo digestivo dissecado dos animais, após eutanásia, desde o esôfago inferior até o reto. A avaliação cintilográfica da distância do marcador radioativo percorrido no tubo digestivo dissecado de todos os animais não mostrou diferença estatística significante (p = 0,1). Concluímos em nosso estudo que o tegaserode na dose 0,09 mg/kg não acelerou o trânsito intestinal dos ratos Wistar.

In a study conducted at the physiology laboratory of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF), forty wistar rats were divided into two groups, one receiving saline, and the other gavage‐administered tegaserod, 1.0 ml/animal, for 15 days. Thirty‐four animals, seventeen in each group, reached the end of the experiment. Tegaserod dose was 0.09 mg/kg. The study aimed to assess the effects of tegaserod on the speed of gastrointestinal transit of wistar rats. Scintigraphic reading of the dissected digestive tracts (from the lower esophagus to the rectum) being used to assess intestinal transit. The scintigraphic assessment of the distance covered by the radiotracer in the dissected digestive tract of all animals did not show any statistically significant difference (p = 0.1). We conclude that tegaserod, in the 0.09 mg/kg dose, did not accelerate the intestinal transit of Wistar rats.
