Bariatric surgery decreased the serum level of an endotoxin-associated marker: lipopolysaccharide-binding protein

LBP is associated with body mass index and hs-CRP. Bariatric surgery significantly decreased the serum level of LBP. The relationship between LBP and hs-CRP disappeared after bariatric surgery.
