Fibromyalgiesyndrom (FMS)

ZusammenfassungDas FMS kann anhand eines typischen Symptomkomplexes (chronische Schmerzen in mehreren Körperregionen, vermehrte körperliche und/oder geistige Müdigkeit und Schlafstörungen) sowie des Ausschlusses struktureller Erkrankungen als Ursache der Beschwerden diagnostiziert werden. Komorbiditäten mit anderen funktionellen somatischen Syndromen (z.B. Reizdarmsyndrom) sowie depressiven und Angststörungen sind häufig. Der Patient soll in die Entscheidung bei der Wahl therapeutischer Optionen (an das individuelle Leistungsvermögen angepasstes aerobes Ausdauertraining, kognitiv-operante Verhaltenstherapie, Amitriptylin 25–50 mg/Tag) einbezogen werden.

Fibromyalgia syndrome can be diagnosed by a cluster of typical symptoms (chronic widespread pain, mental and/or physical fatigue, sleeping disturbances) and the exclusion of medical factors as cause of the symptoms. There is a high comorbidity with other functional somatic syndromes (e.g. irritable bowel syndrome) and affective or anxiety disorders. Therapeutic options (aerobic exercise, cognitive operant therapy, amitriptyline 25–50 mg/d) should be chosen by shared decision-making.
