Bradycardia pacing

Pacemakers though technologically complex are fundamentally simple once an understanding of the components and language is achieved. This review aims to provide that knowledge to reassure the clinician over a device that is frequently found on medical and surgical wards. Despite pacemakers being cost effective and increasingly commonplace they remain underutilized. Therefore we also aim to equip the reader with the key principles to identify individuals who may benefit from pacemaker implant.
